The work shows Robert Koch, Conrad Röntgen, Gustav Kilian and Albert Calmette. These four doctors developed pivotal measures to combat tuberculosis. For this reason they are represented with the attributes of superheros. The composition is loosely based on battle paintings from the Baroque period, combined with modern comic style.
